Wind EngineeringKNCP in BMT's Wind Tunnel

Wind engineering is a wide-ranging multi-disciplinary subject that has developed over the last decades, and is concerned with the effects of wind on the natural and built environment. These effects can lead to discomfort and disruption, or they can be catastrophic, leading to the failure of major buildings or other structures (Wind Engineering Society).

BMT Fluid Mechanics provides wind engineering specialist consultancy services for the assessment of all aspects of architectural aerodynamics for the cost effective and safe design of civil engineering structures. Assessments are carried out as experience-based desk studies, as well as detailed modelling using state-of-the-art in-house capabilities for physical and numerical modelling.
